REVIEW - Shaken, Not Stirred by Sawyer Bennett

Welcome to Last Call...a bar where the drinks are cold and the nights are scorching hot.

Casey Markham is a man-eater in a rut. Swearing off relation- ships may keep her heart safe, but she’sbeginning to question if her casual flings will ever leave her satisfied. She’s wondering if it’s finally time to let go of the past and stop letting history control her future.

Bad boy biker, Tenn Jennings can’t get Casey off his mind. A chance encounter with the beautiful blond has left its mark, and now he’s determined to prove her wrong about everything she thought she knew about men.
It’s safe to say… Casey Markham has met her match.
SHAKEN, NOT STIRRED can be read as a stand-alone.

three big, furry dogs who hog the bed. Sawyer would like to report she doesn’t have many weaknesses but can be bribed with a nominal amount of milk chocolate.

My Review

Tenn is on his way to North Carolina to follow his daughter who moved to there with ex-wife. Upon arriving at his ex-wife's place, he discovers that his ex-wife has taken Zoey, his daughter to Disney World for the week. So, Tenn decides to go with Kyle, a friend, to visit his sister at The Last Call bar, and that's where Tenn meets Casey for this first time.

Casey was hurt a long time ago, but has decided she will never allow herself to be hurt like that again. She tends to date the same type of men over and over again, but always lays the "rules" out. The moment a man starts to show any hint of taking things more serious, she drops them like a hot potato. Tenn is not the kind of man Casey normally dates. He's currently an unemployed motorcycle mechanic, an ex-marine and an ex-rancher. But there is something about him that attracts her.

I love the dynamics between Tenn and Casey. You almost wouldn't think they would work as well as they do. One of my favorites, is the pool game bet. Tenn seems to have a knack for into Casey's insecurities. But will that be enough for Casey to change and give love a chance?

This is the first book I've read out of the Last Call series. This can definitely be read as a stand-alone. While I realize that other couples in Shaken, Not Stirred have their own books, I didn't fell like I was missing anything by not having read the other books first. However, now that I've read Shaken, Not Stirred, I plan on going back and reading the rest of this series. Five star all the way!
